Googong is a new township nestled within a picturesque site just 16km from Parliament House and 4km south-east of Jerrabomberra.

The new masterplanned township, which will be built by CIC Australia on 780 hectares of former grazing land, will take 20 to 25 years to create and include 5,550 homes of varying types and sizes to house about 16,000 people. This completely new, self-contained township will set new benchmarks in housing choice, community facilities, recreational and employment opportunities.

Googong will be CIC’s flagship project, providing a blank canvas to showcase the very best in design and sustainability across social, environmental and economic areas. Fundamental to the vision is capturing the essence of Googong’s distinctive landscape. Nearly a quarter of the township site will be open space of various types to be enjoyed by the people who will eventually call Googong home.
